Single parent, God loves you! Do you know that? Are you secure in that today? If you need a mental and spiritual pick-me-up in the Word, take a moment to meditate on these scriptures from your heavenly Parent, and remember who you are, who He is, and just how much He loves you:

  1. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” –Jeremiah 29:11
  2. “When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.” –Titus 3:4-5
  3. “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
    –Isaiah 41:10, NIV
  4. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” –Hebrews 13:8
  5. “‘Your Creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel,   the God of all the earth. For the Lord has called you back from your grief—as though you were a young wife abandoned by her husband,’ says your God…. ‘with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,’ says the Lord, your Redeemer.” –Isaiah 54:5-8
  6. “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
    –Psalm 68:5, NIV
  7. “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” –Philippians 4:13
  8.  “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:19

Take a moment to speak these scriptures out loud. Remind yourself to whom you belong and what He has already accomplished in your life. Then claim—or take—this Word for yourself. Trust that God who began a good work in your life will indeed complete it (Philippians 1:6)!
